870 Scope Mount

For several years now I have been hunting with my shotgun in MN. I have had an 870 with open sights, but have been thinking about getting a second gun or a mount to put a 2.5x scope on the old 870.

Has anyone used one of these? Do you need to sight in your gun every time you put this on/off?

Buy another barrel w/ a scope mount. It will make it much easier.

I saw somewhere about installing thin aluminium shivs (soda/beer can) within the receiver for a tighter bbl fit for 870 and 1100. I believe it's somewhere on here:
