Vollmer, I don't see any sense in keeping those threads up. If it pays the bills to keep the threads off, keep them off. There are plenty of ways to find girls on the internet. Don't have to have it on here.

I don't hate this idea, but if a guy is to do this, it has to be done right. With drop dead gorgeous ladies. Not, "ND Hot".

Lord in heaven, please don't do a girls calendar. I was kidding.

Can start doing paid raffles. Not sure if there are licensing or legal processes that have to take place to give away a gun through a raffle but you could give away some high end rods or tackle bundles for 10-20$ raffle tickets and limit them to a few hundred tickets. I have to imagine they're money makers since everyone has a gun raffle these days. We could also do a subscription package which gives you access to something (detailed fishing reports, meet ups, end of year tournament, etc) and a couple stickers. Funds could also provide the beer/food at meet ups. If people start seeing NDA stickers on our rigs, they're going to wonder what the hell it is and why they seen a half dozen boats/pickups with the same sticker in the same parking lot.

Don't be afraid to ask, V. We're all here to make this work and be profitable for you.

From what I have researched, raffles need to contribute all proceeds to a charity. It is essentially considered gambling.

I will definitely open a store. Saving funds to fill the inventory as we speak.

Most of us on here could be considered charity cases. That should hold up in court.

On that same note, is the west fargo hockey club considered a charitable organization then?

I would seriously contribute, just to help a store get going. PM me an address and I'll send some bucks.

And stickers are a great idea. I know some people don't "do" stickers, that's their choice. No biggie, but an interesting sticker on a boat, or vehicle, or ice-sled, or whatever, is something that a lot of people would consider.

Half the people in the state have stick figures of their family on their mini-van (formerly guilty, I raise my hand...). The companies that make those vinyl stickers charge far more for them than they're worth. Start selling (charge $10 for a sticker that cost you $2) white vinyl walleye or perch or whatever silhouettes.

I only suggest this as a money maker, not necessarily as a way to circumvent someone telling you to take down the lovely ladies thread. Like someone above said, if you want to look at nearly naked women, there are lots of places. Do they bother me? Of course not. But I'd rather look at fish.

Yes they are, most of the black jack locations are charities that support some sort of youth sports.
They are a non profit and helping kids. Just like this site is. I think we need to talk to a accountant.

I do think stickers are a good Idea. No disrespect DirtyMike but I think if V was to make stickers come up with a nice logo that is interesting that will grab peoples attention to represent you company. People will be much more likely to buy and wear your product whether it be shirts, hats, or stickers if they find it appealing.

I wish that I could steal the IDO logo ... haha.

But I have a gfx guy that can help. I think a new logo design will happen before any goods are made/sold.

This is a valid point. How about the NDA logo on a silhouette of a big swingin' dick?

Yeah, I wasn't saying take these and make them. I made them up in 10 seconds on paint.

So yeah, this is a generic sticker. But nobody could/would copyright this. I think it was $8 or $10. Not enough to worry about, but enough to make a couple bucks.

PS, if you're behind this guy in traffic, give him a break, he's probably asleep.

A big no on the calendar option. The first FBO calendar was an interesting twist, and I bought a couple for male family members. But now, they have a slippery slope in what is a 'calendar girl' material. Sheeeeeesh, those latest ones have been hitting the night clubs too often to be a pin-up 'calendar girl'.

It's like the old joke I remember my dad saying: "Whats the difference between an ND Girl and an elephant?" A= "About eight pounds"

I see a problem, people with Dodges thinking that they too can put a cool NDA sticker on the vehicle, making the rest of us look bad...haha

juan, that post nearly got me to give out my first negative rep points!

on "ND Hot"... i too think we have plenty of naturally hot women in this state. and i wouldn't have to look very far. those women in the FBO calendar are likely not from ND and they certainly aren't "naturally hot" or even "natural". those pics are as far from natural as a fella could find. about as natural as a T-Rex in a china shop in fact.
