Pan seared black bear steaks are almosrt as good as a rib eye,if you ever saw one hanging up after its skinned you would swear it was a human,thigh muscel,biceps the whole works. But good eats.

Four of us are heading to the central Black Hills this afternoon to try for a lion . I'll save you a "piece of tail " guy if we are successful . In fact I'll save you the whole tail and you can eat it like a turkey neck .

Friends living in California took a lion and at that time, any lion take ln had to be butchered. Said it was delicious, best game they had ever had. Didn't even stir fry it.

How was the hunting

Weather was terrible, snow wind and lots of rain every day. Bears had been moving the week before, hell it got to 92 up there! But mother nature kicked us in the balls on this trip. I could have shot a couple, biggest maybe going 6 ft. One big one was on cam that week in the dark. And now this week it's beautiful up there all week...ugh.
