Have they been there a while of just starting to drift in ? They seem to be running late up in this neck of the woods.

So far none in Jamestown. Not seeing much for warblers this spring either. Three years ago my yard was overrun with warblers at this time. A couple of species were new sightings for me.

I didn't think birds existed in my neighborhood.
Then I got hearing aides. :)

They are the most homebound migratory bird I know of. They will actually land by the window and look in to see if anybody is around to put the feeders out. That is not an exaggeration.

well maybe a little bit exaggerated but they do land where the feeders usually are and look around.

On second thought it was my wife that brought it up to my attention and they actually were peeking in the window. I have my camera charged up and ready to shoot them when they show up .

Think I will put out some Humming Bird feeders this year. Have been seeing them around but they don't stay long. Love to watch them hover around in the flowers.

I had 7 hummingbirds on one of my feeders and 3 or 4 more just waiting for a chance to feed last night. I have at least 5 different types of hummingbirds here. I saw 2 tiny, tiny hummingbirds feeding on the back porch feeder this morning, they looked like babies.

Far as I know we don't have orioles here.

I've got one of those little cages that has square suet blocks outsdie my bedroom window so I can watch them feed. I've had everything from little finches to Mexican ravens feeding on it.

The old martin house is in tough shape but they don't seem to mind

I could get hooked on photography, Took these from the back deck at about 80 yards. I'm already thinking about a camera upgrade

I need a crash course when/how to size pictures , The Oriole was about 20 feet and I zoomed in and The picture was huge so had to crop it down, Most of the other pictures were on 50 zoom and turned out normal size.

Something odd in this area too , We have had them for a lot of years and they usually all show up about the same time around the first week of May. Hummers like red and Orioles like Orange so I put the jelly on some bight orange paper and one came in almost right away.
