Ordered a solar battery charger to hookup to my trolling battries to charge while out fishing. Just me and the wife so we dont use the front of boat that much. Will make a bracket to mount on side of boat. Just want a little more power to make it through a weekend of fishing. I have 2 batterys hooked in line for my 12volt trolling motor and if I really have to work them they will get weak towards the end of the weekend. What say you. LB

You would be far better off spending that money on trolling motor and battery upgrade. It takes a lot of real estate to generate much solar power.

A 100 watt solar panel is almost 2ft x 4ft and at max will provide 100/12= 8.3 amps at 12v. Even a small trolling motor will draw over 30 amps at full power. Screenshot_20210626-133147_Drive.jpg

If you leave it on your batteries all week long between weekends you might put a feather in your hat.
