I have the Milwaukee M18 16" chainsaw. Honestly wouldn't recommend it unless your just cutting small trees or branches. The chain oil reservoir has leaked from day one, and you overheat batteries after like 3 cuts on a decent size tree. I have 4 batteries and even cycling through them I have to stop for a while to let them all cool down.
There's not necessarily anything wrong with a break every so often. A rest stop for a brew is always welcome.

Love my Stihl electric saw. Wouldn't necessarily recomend for cutting firewood, but trimming around the yard it's perfect. Have cut trees up to 6-8" with no problems. Not perfect but it starts everytime I pull the trigger, assuming I put a battery in it. Do think the chains aren't overly durable but they are relatively cheap and easy to install.

Saw showed up finally, very nice and light. Turns out I want to cut some trees now, try it out.
Don't cheap out on safety $hit. Those little eff around projects that don't seem to require gear are the ones most likely to cost a guy an ER trip.

One ER trip is 10x the cost of good/comfortable anti-blood-gusher gear. (pants, etc.)

Had a close call on on leg a couple summers ago. Was complacent/tired after taking down a pine tree and limbing it on the ground, stepped over the log with the saw free wheeling a little bit and it grabbed my jeans on my thigh. Was lucky all I had was some scratches and tore up pants but sure got me thinking and paying attention a lot more, went in and grabbed some paper towel and vet wrap so I could finish up the project.

exact same thing has happened to me - free-wheeling and grabbed my jeans and my Sitka mountain pants. A guy tends to rest objects on his thigh without giving it a second thought.

Now I have cutting chaps.... with holes on the left leg - in the same place. 🥴

Yeah I really need to buy chaps from around home. When I was a surveyor we would periodically do projects that require cutting line through trees. We had chaps for the guys running saws and every once in a while a guy would hit them and be glad we had them.
