Not sure Kurt. Perhaps ducer cable? connection?
I did some more digging and seems like that Tri beam had problems just like I am and is why they quit making them. Buddy I bought it from had the ducer that came with it just needs to find it in the garage.

Yes the red bottom ones where made with two separate pieces of plastic that cracks where they come together, I have a red bottom one to and it also cracked. I asked vexilar if I could trade it in. No dice so i asked on another forum if anyone had been able to fix the crack problem they said use something like jb weld for plastic. Make sure you get all the moisture out of the inside before you seal it up after that it should work again.

I remember reports of tri ducer pucks having issues, suggest single ice ducer or a double/duel ducer,9/12 or 9/18 deg cones,9 deg cone is great fishing in deeper water and or a group of flashers close by where flasher cones cross and create major interference.

Ahh, didn't have the wheels chocked is what I am hearing. I have come close to a similar unhitching, it just didn't roll back enough.
The front jacks were extended beyond the final pin to hold them into the outer sleeve. So when I raised it up, there was nothing but the weight of the camper resting on top of the jacks holding it in place, and yes it slowly rolled back, in a slow motion type of event, so I could really watch the camper in extra time crush everything as it fell to the ground. Had I not missed the final pin hole, or had chocked it would not have happened.

Oh man johnr...the wife and I are gonna upgrade to a 5th wheel this year...but thinking maybe we should stick with our bumper pull...that looks brutal! Maybe later this spring I'll start a thread on the benefits of going from a bumper pull to a 5th wheel...to try to get my courage up!

I’ve had a 5th wheel for 30 years, no damage yet thankfully. Remembering to raise and lower the tailgate at the proper time is my main concern.

As far as we old timers on ice we understand the importance of being mobil to keep on fish, our augers today whether electric or gas cut thru ice like a hot knife thru butter,we use our flasher's most often or when needed to easily "run n gun" hole hopping on structure or moving with a school of suspended panfish...popping dozens of holes when needed. Setting up on one lacation with state of art lcd screen, batteries, ducer pole, and another hole to run your camera well your pretty much saddled to your camping spot hoping for the best staring at your 10" real time screen...mean while a pod of fish are just 50yds off...

Mpo.

I kind of thought the same thing. The guys this weekend moved as fast with the live scope as i did with the vexilar. With the shuttle and poles it was in and out and they could find fish from alot farther away

I fished with both, however im a lazy sob... before we pop holes we work structure or deep water basin with our flasher searching for fish shooting thru the ice b4 we pop holes when fish move it's so convenient to p saddle up,flasher, rod in your bucket and continue to hole hop when necessary, easy peasy.whatever works as long as your enjoying the day/evening.
