Usually I'm glassing with my binos off my knees or free hand and have the spotter set up on tripod. It was too much of a hassle to try to use both on the same tripod. </p><p></p><p>That said guys swear by using binos off tripods.  I think if I didn't have a spotter along I'd use the tripod with binos more. Each hunters situations are different and obviously if all you do is stand hunt thick brush 12s won't be necessary.</p></blockquote><p></p>
