Does it have to be cow shit?When I lived in Japan (88-92), there was a period of time where pre-worn and cow-shit stained jeans brought BIG bucks on the Japanese blue jean market. If I remember correctly, an authentic pair of used jeans with Montana shit stains were around $500 in Japan.
Even back then my sizes weren't very popular, but if you were a young American stuck on the farm and knew about this you could wear a new pair of pants every day and get paid good money to do so while pulling calves.
Fashion...I will never ever understand it.

Those were the prices for Lee and Levi jeans. Wranglers were less, and store brands like Members Mark were probably still worthless.
