Unless you go with a light colored floor. In the hot summer sun the none carpeted floor will be really hot.

I had factory white floors in cabin cruisers and they would get to hot to go barefoot on real hot days but thats where the wash down sprayer came in handy for water fights , sometimes against myself.

Rigged Up Boats in Bismarck installs Gator Step flooring (similar to AT and SeaDek) that can be installed over carpet, I have seen this done on a couple of boats and it adheres very well to the carpet. I would give them a shout to see what they can do for you.

Would think if water did penetrate, it would have a very difficult time drying and start molding underneath ?
