I am wondering if there are any NDA members currently with a lot at Brendles Resort in Parshall Bay. I would like to know your thoughts on the place. I have heard that after the lot rent was paid last fall for the upcoming 2017 season, this spring, they sent out a bill approximately 25% of the current lot rent supposedly due to utilities? I am thinking of getting a place there but need some opinions as to what is going on? Does your lot contract allow the owners to charge as they wish? Thanks for any input

Thought I would chime in since we have a place here, lot rent is very expensive (think 1800$) and yes they hit everyone with a utility charge of almost 300$ and the way our letter read this utility charge will fluctuate meaning it will go up yearly. So for around 2100$ you have a place near the lake that you are allowed to use for around 4 months, you are not allowed to be at your place October thru may sometime. So I would definitely double think getting a place here! Don't even want to get into management and the owner, I'm sure others will respond with maybe some personal stories.

I don't have a place there, but I know plenty of people that do, and from what they all tell me, the guy that runs the show down there is a world class dousche... by the sounds of things kim jong il would be a better land lord....

maybe he received excessive negative reps and is taking it all out on his renters? Its a pretty solid business model

Sounds like I will be not getting a place or lot there then. I had heard rumors he was a crook, DB etc.... but I dont rely on a single person or 2 with bad experiences, but sounds like it is overwhelming and not in a good way.

If you say anything negative about the landlord and he hears better be ready to pull your unit out of there. I have heard of more than one person being kicked out of that place. If you don't like his rules, there is the road.

The owners name is Harley. I have friends that have left Brendles because of his bad attitude. But don't get this mixed up with the North Camping area. That is county ran, and is a nice place to stay if you like camping.

U guys have no clue what they pay in MN do u. That's chump change and no they don't allow the renter in during off season. Why most likely for security. Purposes. Same with fl tx winter parks. I am sure your lease states the rules. So tell the thread starter something else that you were not aware of.

I am not sure, but was told it is corps land that was leased for 99 years to the previous owners. But again I havnt dug into it that much as sounds like he is not a very nice guy. Was hoping to get a little more input from others on NDA. But guessing they all got kicked out also. LOL I have stayed on the North side in the county park and they do a great job keeping the place up from my experiences there 5 separate occasions in 3 years.

I don't know brendle. When I come to van hook I drive in and drive out. Lease 101 usually states the rent and that your responsibility for utilities and when u can use it. If you don't like the lease then go some where else. It's merica.

Guess what when your in business for yourself u write the rules. If some fckwagon is up partying all hours u get to em get the fck out. Is his vacancy rate way up? Guess what I don't care it's his business. What I want out of this thread is for the author. When did u get grouched at. Was it tiein a spinner queitly next to your camper or did u have 5 dogs running around and 6 vehicles/boats. In the roadway and partied all night.
