Been looking more than a few years and didn’t go the cmp route even tho that was her original origin couldn’t be happier just waiting for the en blocs to get here so I can give her a go, that and find some powder so I can give her a proper meal 1942 Springfield with a 1944 barrel can’t wait to see how she shoots

If I recall correctly, the couple of guys I knew that shot Garands in Service Rifle Class used 4895 and/or 4064 for accuracy as well as proper function.

I've had good luck with 48.0gr of imr 4064 behind 150gr bullets of different types in my garand and a few others that we have shot the loads in. I had to go through a few different ones from the CMP to get one that I wanted. Mine is an early 1941 springfield armory receiver. I can't remember the barrel date but might have be 1943.

Imr 4895 and 4064 is what I’ve been seeing recommend a lot, did find imr4895 today but didn’t want to commit to a 8# keg, traveling to the hills this weekend lots of places I can stop and check, and I do have imr4064 on hand so I’m good there, thanks for the tips
