I think you should start a thread selling the gift card for it's face value and saying the purchaser needs to drive you your residence to pick it up.;)

JK, give Scheels a call and ask them if they will let you use a $250 gift card for Cabelas in their store. You might be surprised at the answer! I have done this with success in the recent past on some depth finders!

What are you going to buy? Please tell

And this^^^^^^

I may swing in this evening, and talk to a mgr that I've known since we were kids. I'd much rather buy it locally. Easier, simpler, quicker.

KY Windage: I'm looking to get a Springfield Armory XDS single stack 9MM, with the 3.3" barrel, with the FDE frame. Thinner and lighter than the G19 that I have started carrying while fishing solo at night.

Find somthing that is cheaper at Cabelas then Scheels and over $250 order it and then return it at Scheels. Might even make a buck or 2.

I'd also like the purchaser to bring me a thank-you card, as well as takeout from Big Boy.

Sell giftcard for face value and buy gun at Scheels. Problem solved.

I'd NEVER buy a giftcard from someone I do not know, at face value, nor offer much money for it at all. It could be a card already used, or it could be a card negated electronically by the company and when used online it comes up as $0.00 value. Nope, not worth it.

If you have a $25 gift card I'll likely offer you $5 and take a small chance like that!

Why in the world would anyone pay more then $20 for an FFL transfer? Jays pawn only charges $20 and another guy in town charges $15. Seriously, Scheels would be my last option to handle an FFL transfer, they are the absolute worst to buy guns from.

Yup, I follow your line of thought. I wouldn't either, unless I knew the cat personally. My hands are kinda tied on this though. The card was a gift from my folks. Never thought I'd ever had a tough time figuring out how to spend money at a quality sporting goods store. this is new territory for me...

Shes a 'beaut Clark, got the same thing and absolutely love it, and yes, I also have had several glocks, nothing wrong with an xd in any make/style, I shoot better with the xds than I did with my 23c, 26, or 27 but that's a shooters preference probably more than anything

"Rod Sock" would be cool.

I find it amusing (not wrong) concerning all the new excitement for the 9. How many years before the next .40/.45 retro?

The nine is cheap and convenient for me. No where does it compare to the 40 or 45 unless were chatting about mag capacity..

Yup. I have a Colt 1911 as well, and is more costly to play with. 9 is less expensive, and honestly, I'm a better shot with it. Plus, yes, more in the magazine.

It's all good. It's the buzz generated by the FBI switching back I find noteworthy.
