I was referring to the transition from single action REVOLVER to double action REVOLVER, not to single action action auto (ie 1911).

It wasn't that hard to transition. Actually many of the guys who don't shoot much shot better double action. I think it's because they flinch when shooting single action and double action is more of a surprise to them. They need to shoot more. Sorry to say, but most law enforcement guys I know shoot like crap. If I shot like them I would leave my gun at home and carry a club.

Coffee never effect me that much only when i did the all nighter in college two pots and HELLO. but most of the time Nothing. Love the taste of fresh brewed coffee not the stale crap.

I make a 6 cup pot in the morning really black, and that's it for the day, my Dad always had coffee before he went to bed, he would sleep all night, he made it to 86 so it didn't hurt him that bad

I get the stuff with 1.75 times more caffeine that i have one cup of before i do my morning LISS as it boosts the metabolism right away and i like a good cup of coffee to start the day. nothing after that unless i am on a late night drive

I fill my Yeti mug up once a day(it fits about 2 cups). I don’t notice anything bad if I don’t have it but like others I get shaky if I drink more.

Everybody is different but many people can't handle the caffeine as they get older. Same with sugar.

We have been experimenting with Cold Brewing at home this summer and it is excellent. Very smooth. Flavor is great as well. Some studies say that cold brewing can lead to higher caffeine levels, but there is a lot that goes into it. I have been placing a few ice cubes in the Yeti every morning and pouring the cold brew right on that and drinking black. Very enjoyable on the hot, humid summer days.

I have found drinking decaf, or cold brew does something deep down inside me, it isn't pleasant, the screen door thing comes to mind. I have no idea how that could happen tho

G20 glock is solid sidearm with good ammo it packs a wollop and is damn accurate!!!

I went from a Smith 686 to a Kimber 1911. I'm not a big Kimber fan. I actually shoot better with my Springfield XD 45. I switch back and fourth from the Springfield XD in 45 to the 5.25 inch barrel Springfield XDM competition in 9mm. I will have to admit that sucker shoots. Off the sandbags the Kimber does 3.25 inches at 25 yards. Off the sandbags the XDM does an inch at 25 yards. Seriously thinking about a Glock model 20 for a duty weapon. Never owned a Glock. The only thing holding me back is the darn bulge in the brass from the Glock. Everyone says buy an aftermarket barrel, but then I may as well buy the Sig 10mm and be done with it.

Edit: Ooops forgot I carried a 629 for two years in between my 686 and Kimber. Loaded it with 44 Special so it was about like a 45ACP.

Hey Ghost! Same with my .50-70 full length Trapdoor Springfield! Dunno why he wanted that oddball rifle - historians have been trying to figure it out ever since!

In my previous life I could drink gallons of coffee day and night and instantly fall asleep whenever I wanted. Now if I have more than one, sometimes two cups in the morning with none past 0900, I’ll lay awake and count the humps and valleys in the textured ceiling all night! Must have lost the enzymes or whatever it takes to burn it up! Getting old!
When I look for any decafienated drinks in gas stations and don’t find any, I wonder if this has anything to do with our current modern epidemic of sleep apnea!?!?
