My point that I was trying to make was, us conservative types should not stoop to the mentally challenged libs and thier way of thinking" assume" what we hear as " NEWS".

Libs suck that shit up and regurgitate lies and misinformation.
We should not.

so they don't want the salt to wash into the rivers that run into the ocean - got it.

Doesn't the 100 pounds of salt to treat each mile of ND highway also wash into the waterways. The state is changing to all salt instead of a salt/sand mixture
Agreed, yes plus now state pre emp snow storms with a liquid deicer, suspect the same stuff used on airport runways, does a # on vehicle paint but clears the road great unless sub zero just like road salt doesnt activate in extreme cold.

That beet juice plays holy hell on paint. My trailer I use for ice fishing looks like shit from years past. Sure wish I would have bought aluminum right away.

Ask a farmer what salt does to farm land.
There are construction methods that reduce fire hazards.
There are maintenance items that need to be done on a regular basis to reduce fire risks.
But it is not 100%
Add in high winds and you can drive embers into attics, game over.
As to building regulations, ask people in Dallas what happens when there are no storm water regulations.
