Do you need a permit to bring them across the border?

Just pick a direction to walk. Tens of thousands of acres just make sure you have your gps. At age 71 can not put the miles on like the rest but still manage from 5-8 miles per day. And at age 71 and with cloudy days I do get concern where I am at some times and also driving my ATV through some of the water and mud. Just getting to old for this.
Other picture is of our pagen horn sprit. We feed him/her white horns each day in hopes of good luck or at least I do. Used to keep all horns but now leave most of the white ones up there. Nest year I plan to cut an opening for the eyes to increase the luck or at least for the sprit to see what we have.
Yes one needs a permit from the feds in the US. db-2

Previous white shed from up there that I repair, put on a skull I found.
As one walks one is always hoping for what one will find in the next step.
About 30-40% of horn was eaten up and with the new horns was to have score over 180 counting all. However once done it was a inch or two short. so was going to redo a horn or two but decided it was good enough.
Was easier to just redo the tape so it would measure over 180. db-2

I guess it will be a day or two to get the picture of all horns.

However these are three that I toke home to play with.
The white horn scores in high 70, G-2 and G-3 are close to 12".
the brown horn scores in low 70.
White horn.
I had walked about 2-3 hours with no luck. Looked into the sky and asked for guildance.
Turn around and top of a tree was pointing in certain direction so I went to tree to follow direction. In about 50' found this horn mixed in with some fallen trees. Surprise not eaten up. So it does pay to feed the sprit. db-2

If I quit working maybe we can connect next year and find our own spot to look. One of us needs to get the permit for about 100 dollars and then I don't seem to be able to find so your eyes will need to work. Of the 200 plus horns found I was around 10 to my name. DB

I would definitely pay for the export permit!

I almost made a spur of the moment trip up there this year, but it just didn't work out.

Wow! I’m drooling at the thought of what they would look like on a head with the other side. Sooooo cool! Congrats! And you’re right, sometimes a tip of the hat to the man upstairs is all the help you need for a little good fortune.
