I've seen similar events in an Alabama cat pond and once in a lake in the hills. They heard bluegills into a ball and tear ass. When walking the bank of the AL pond the frogs would spook away from the water. Right before dark; a shallow ShadRap twitched on top would garner amazing tarpon like strikes; paralleling the shore in a foot or less of water.
