So i insttalled X SERIES RUNNER KIT - YUKON/VOYAGER/THERMAL X/ADVENTURE/TUNDRA/PORTAGE on a 2009 voyager Jason Mitchell full thermal.
There would of been noway I could have bent the 1/2 inch runner around the front and back of the sled with a blow dryer to make it look right so I used a propane torch instead. Even with the torch it was tuff to get it flush at the end of the runner so I drilled another hole closer to the end so I could get a better snug fit.
It's defiantly much easier to remove the tent and brackets before trying to put these on properly which was a pain in the but becuase everything was rusted on and using a philips head is dumb when a torque or allen wrench would have been a lot better.
After installing all four runners both ends of the sled are wrapped which I am thinking now it probably wasn't necessary for both.
The runners are very solid material so I should get lots of miles out of them. I don't much care for the bolts sticking out so I used a cut off wheel and cut the threads flush with the nut. Which the nylon lock nuts could have been replaced with a low profile nut and lock washer which would have given a lower profile finished product.
I filled the holes in the runners with marine grade epoxy so as to keep water from seeping into the tub I also put epoxy on the threads as to keep water from seeping.
I will post pics later as to what it looks like when done.
