With that kind of set up does it get hot enough to cook? Or just hot enough to reheat?

Purchased my grate at my local paint store. Seems like the farther out the grate is the better. When i fish with others i will use the one burner and the 1lb canisters with a cast iron skillet for sausage and potatoes and fry the eggs on my mr buddy with a disposable aluminum pan. Nothing like a hot meal on the ice. Dont forget the T.P

cook easily - even the radiant heat just 6” away out in front sizzles hot dogs on a stick - we have cooked walleye filets in a fish basket in front too - for fish sammiches - even toast the buns - ha ha

I use a rack exactly like that, only slightly different. It is one of those racks for cooling cookies after you bake them. Works like a charm. It even sits in there perfectly level, almost like they designed it that way. Guessing the rack cost $2.99??

Got one of these for Xmas last year. Works great for reheating burritos and sandwiches wrapped in foil.

spray is the way on the ice (butter tends to tear the bread AND the raw fish filets)
