I tried the Crown Royal Mesquite. Tasted like dirt and sticks. Probably just gonna use it as a marinade at this point

You should try the Lagavulin 16, I'd be curious to see how you think it compares to the Laphroaig 10 (assuming that's what you had). I'm not a big fan of that one either. The Lag is less peaty and much smoother.

OK, the Caribou nutsack thing might be overdoing it a bit.

In all honesty, the best description I can come up with is that it tasted like they started out with water from a sticky muck-bottom slough that bubbles methane every time you take a step.
