A strange one: I've thrice marinated beef in wine. I like wine-- and instead of magnificent; the flavor was strange and milky; similar to WV morels.

My taste buds may be fucked up due to Copenhagen. IMO all these cooking channels emphasis "flavor" to the point of retardation and soap: Beef NEEDS only S/P; maybe with a pinch of garlic/onion:

You know there's too much gd garlic when the kitchen smells like an electric train transformer:
