Does anyone know if you can you get from EDL to stump in a boat ? And is the fishing any good in that area ? Winter or summer ?

You cannot. Ramsey County Road 4 has culverts that go under the road, not a bridge for boats to go under. When the water was a couple feet higher I ran my boat on the kicker up the channel on the NW corner of stump all the way up to the Stump side of Cty 4. Fishing wasn't worth the time we had to spend getting weeds un-clogged from the kicker prop several times on the way in and the way out.

Thanks, I have never fished that area and didn't realise how far east it goes. We are looking at a lot but It's 10 miles east of the casino and 15- 20 miles to where I usually like to fish. My next question is, do walleyes normally cooperate on the far east shores comparable to the rest of the lake ? Both summer and winter ? I Like the chunk of land but not the chunk of water to get across if fishing is tough over that way. I'm guessing the prevailing nw wind plays a big part along that shoreline and maybe around the culverts would be ok fishing but I've seen areas on DL that are just like the dead sea and a 10 mile run to better fishing wouldn't be fun.

east when i resided up in DL during the summers -- we went east sometimes. Crack the throttle 3/4 and relax and enjoy the ride over. Fishing was good - the nwt tourneys were won on the east side.
