Elk Hunters do you know?

Anyone had elk ivory jewelry made by someone in North Dakota or surrounding states? Interested in recommendations.

had a pair of earrings and necklace made for the wife and a tie tack for me at Riddles in Fargo a few years ago. the guy who made them was a friend of our family and doesn't work there anymore so not sure if they still do it. my dad had a ring done at Jenson jewelers, not local but all items were done well

Believe it or not, elk used to roam the plains like the buffalo. Best I've been told (NDSU) they were Eastern Elk which were extirpated by late 1800's. I actually found a shed from one in Fargo on the Red....one of my prized possessions!

Sent one of my ivorys in to the lab in Montana to see how old he was since I forgot to save a tooth. When I received the info back I was blown away that he was 11 1/2 yrs old, thats a long time to live in the mountains of Wyoming!
