Fishing for the cure

2016 fishing for the cure tournament is in the books. Great day of fishing with 72 boats. I heard that $20,000 was raised on Saturday afternoon for a cure for childhood cancer. Two families were selected to recieve the money this year. Only one family was there because the other family was in the hospital receiving chemo. My partner and I placed second with 19.35 lbs on 5 fish. the best part of it was to see the teams that pulled checks rip them up and walk away with a smile on there face. I'm hoping next year we can hit 100 teams.

Fished it again this year also, we 13.44 around 15th I believe. It is a great event for a great cause. Hope to do it again next year and hopefully they have even more teams.

It was a fun event, we had just under 15 and our other 5 in the well weighed just about the same. It was a fun day of fishing for a great cause!
