need to get the meth heads to target them.... rumors about meth fueled cameras, every camera would be stolen in days.

The cameras should have picked up a few pictures / vids. of the thieves , If they didn't get enough information to make an arrest then we are all getting ripped off .

I thought they were already using a camera (some manner of AI driven tech) that could record the garbage can number and what was dumped out of the can. Supposed to stop the dumping of used oil, car batteries etc.

I thought that came about when the city started providing (leasing actually) the flip-top garbage cans the truck can dump without having to have 2-3 humans following the truck.

Even without Flock cameras, you almost need a pre-2000 vehicle to be invisible. Guessing on the year, but every vehicle in probably the last 20 years is trackable...
True, unless you have a cell phone inside that vehicle.

Dunno where the “stop” will be. There’s an awful lot of stuff folks choose to pay for that makes one fairly traceable, especially now that most new cell phones have satellite communication capability. Satellite radio, satellite TV (I’ve seen the ‘em on campers and ice houses), InReach communicators, anytime your phone pings an available WIFI whether you connect or not, and of course any form electronic payment you’ve ever used.
