I don't believe any of this BS that "it's for the protection of children". Why you ask? Because if the welfare, protection, and safety of the children were the priority, the epstein files would be public knowledge and any and all crimes against children would be exposed and prosecuted. "Protect the children" is all to often empty lip service. If license plate reading was the only purpose for these cameras, then why are many of them pointed at playgrounds, parks, other places cars and trucks are rarely found? Inquiring minds want to know.

Have a look @ the ceiling in your favorite large store. The majority of them have dark plastic bubbles, many of which contain security cameras. Might not be all of them, could be some “decoy” bubbles.

It's possible, if not likely, they are Flock cameras paid for by the local business. Quite the business model. Reading up on Flock a while back they claimed Flock gets paid to install and maintain the camera, and then they also get to sell access to the imagery and the AI details to law enforcement, etc.

I guess that answers that. I’ve done virtually 0 research on the subject.

Security vs. Privacy has always been and will always be a delicate balancing act.

This is completely WRONG!! Guilt needs to be proven. Innocence is the default and need not be proven. If innocence needs to be proven, we are all guilty, regardless of truth, and closer to the bad things people are already whispering about civil conflicts.

I understood as much and my response was not directed at you personally or at you in any way. The highlighted portion is the crux of this issue that is probably the most dangerous development in today's society IMO. If the population as a whole begins to feel that they are guilty of whatever this surveillance system says they are guilty of, it creates a sense of hopelessness that drifts historically toward a response that starts small and grows into something I sincerely pray does not develop. Suffice it to say that me reaching a point of "Settle Down" with respect to the highlighted statement is probably not going to happen. No disrespect, hostility, or even mild annoyance directed to you Colt45.

Only for Annox to replace them for a cheaper rate/contract more than likely.

I had no problem with cameras when they recorded video and if something happened they went back and reviewed it. But now it’s all about matching our faces, our phones, our vehicles, and every other single piece of info they can tie to us. They then sell that info to marketers, political parties, and any other person who thinks they can make money off our info. Thus, the need for all these data centers to store this digitalized information. They get paid, we get nothing! Best law there could be is every single time one of these places matches data to an individual (us), they owe us a fee. If there going to track us and mine every piece of data about us to make money off us, we deserve a direct cut.
