Thought the claim was "no moisture" in this snow. Some of my snow piles have melted down some, and no standing water ? ? ?

Over here in the southeast the dramatically lower albedo in MN (trees, brush, etc) looks like it’s going to get the water moving first - hopefully we’ll get a staged melt (early melt from the Ottertail portion of the watershed).

Plenty of water in the snowpack across most of ND.

Couple thoughts..Sheyenne drainage looks ugly, and the MO river is going to live up to its muddy reputation this spring.

Any frost depth reports ? There wasn't much frost here with all the early snow , I peeled sod in January while pushing snow. The ground was very dry last fall in the RRV so the bulk of this snow could soak in with a little luck .

I've noticed in years past I've found way more ticks near water shed hunting and turkey hunting, this year should be an interesting one, but at least were getting the much needed moisture.
