So my new job requires me to have FR clothing, HRC2 rated. Just wondering if anyone has any experience in whats best as far as winter and summer clothing including coveralls, jackets, pants, shirts and sweatshirts. Looking for the best bang for my buck and also the best places to shop in the Bis/man area.

Ariat make great FR jeans as well as summer long sleeve shirts. Carhartt always seem to be a go to for FR coveralls, both winter and summer. As far as bang for your buck, don't be afraid to spend an extra $20 a pair on FR jeans or shirts. Comfort has no price tag when it comes to FR clothes that you'll be wearing every day. Good luck at your new job!

Home of Economy in williston has a great selection maybe the one in Bismarck could hook you up. Carhartt is what I wear most of the time.

Ariat or cinch jeans are my favorite both around 80 bucks a piece, Tyndale run of the mill is probably the cheapest all around gear. they also have their IQ gear which is pretty decent but is more expensive.

Now you are speaking my language. I would check with Hagemeyer. I believe they have a store in Bismarck, or I would check online. https://www.hagemeyerna.com/ProductCatalog/Categories.aspx?cat0=Safety

I'm not sure if Quad City sells to the general public or if it's only industrial accounts, but I would check them as well. They specialize in safety products. https://www.quadcitysafety.com/

These are two companies that specialize in selling safety items such as FR, Hi viz, hats, gloves etc.

Also forgot to mention there are plenty of other safety companies online. I would check them out. Lots and lots of different options out there.

stay away from anything made by Bulwark. I like carhartt coveralls, shirts, and hoodies. Wrangler jeans are good, as well as Ariat but more $.

Action wear from ammaril for your winter bibs and coat. Way better than my Carhartt stuff.

I have carhartt, bulwark, ariat and wrangler jeans... I like the fit and comfort from the ariat the best (hate their boots) IMO the bulwark's are only comfortable after the first 50 washes then they are super comfortable... shirts I have ariat and carhartt long sleeve t-shirts... carhartt has some really nice thin ones for summer (HRC1 though) but not much difference between the thicker ones... I have bulwark wrangler and carhartt button up shirts and since I hate buttons I guess I can't tell the difference they are all uncomfortable I guess the wranglers are the best for me... for winter I use only carhartt bibs and jacket... the bulwark winter stuff I had in the past didn't stand up

they are all better once you wash them a couple dozen times, most guys I work with won't wear anything until they wash them 2 or 3 times... when we had bulwark and a laundry service the jean bin was full every day for the first month because guys would take the cloths from the locker and toss them in to wash until they were soft

I wear mostly carhartt. They make some nice lightweight stuff for hot summer days. I mostly wear the "canvas" carhartt pants, they are the most comfortable for me.
