Is it just me or are they slicing it a lot thinner these days. I like the Country Hearth Cottage in sour dough or regular but it seems the slices are getting thinner all the time. LB

I guess I haven't noticed that. Some loaves seem to be getting smaller though. I really like the bread from the Bottineau bakery but seems I rarely get up there.

The Bismarck Tribune today (01/25) has a recipe for easy beer bread.
Only 4 ingredients and simple as hell. Use a heavy dark beer for max flavor....and enjoy a DIY basic!

Does anybody ever reuse their bread bowls from soup? I will wash mine out with water and then let them dry and reuse the next day.
One shalt not run out of thy bread that way. :)

No need to pre rinse if you got a good dishwasher. LB

Love fresh bread with just salted butter on it, but carbs are evil and when I do indulge prefer something to satisfy my sweet tooth.

Carbs are not evil. Your body needs carbs.

Carbs aren't normally the problem, baring medical history of abnormal glycemic levels, it's what you tend to put on carbs that gets you in trouble.
