Message: <blockquote data-quote="sl1000794" data-source="post: 322334" data-attributes="member: 6974">I see the Jacks did not make the ACHA Division 2 Frozen Four.Posted: Apr 18, 2021Lumberjack Hockey went 2-1 at the ACHA Nationals in Bismarck, ND.  In the first game of Pool B play DCB faced off against Adrian College (MI) and won 4-2.  <a href="https://dcbjacks.com/sports/acha/2020-21/bios/trulsen_matt_ko69" target="_blank">Matt Trulsen</a> got the win with 31 saves and <a href="https://dcbjacks.com/sports/acha/2020-21/bios/clyne_tanner_t7s7" target="_blank">Tanner Clyne</a> scored the game winner in the second period.  Clyne was named Player of the Game. The second game of the tournament the Jacks defeated East Texas Baptist University 7-2.  <a href="https://dcbjacks.com/sports/acha/2020-21/bios/golin_sergei_k58b" target="_blank">Sergei Golin</a> picked up the win with 26 saves and <a href="https://dcbjacks.com/sports/acha/2020-21/bios/smith_joben_nyhn" target="_blank">Joben Smith</a>lead the way with a couple of goals and was named Player of the Game.  In the finale with the Lumberjacks needing a win to move on to the Frozen Four Bottineau faced Lindenwood Lions (MO).  In a game where the Lions scored a power play goal in the first period and the Jacks unable to connect on 6 power plays in the game, the Jacks fell 4-1 and the the #2 ranked Lions moved on to the Final Four. <a href="https://dcbjacks.com/sports/acha/2020-21/bios/trulsen_matt_ko69" target="_blank">Matt Trulsen</a> had 22 saves in the loss and Ryan Paterson scored the only goal for the Lumberjacks.  Goalie Trever Osborne from Lindenwood was player of the game.  The Lumberjacks finish with a 17-12-1 season.  All of the losses on the year were to teams in the ACHA Division 2 National Tournament or to ACHA Division 1 teams.    </blockquote>
