Dug around a few of my potato plants and took some young ones about the size of tennis balls and thinned out a few onions about golf ball size. Picked a few cukes, they are the sweet slicer kind. Supper tonight will be cucumber slices and ranch dressing, raw fried potatoes in olive oil and butter, steamed onion in cheese sauce and some of last years walleye baked in oven with a garlic and lemon seasoning. that should be worth about 50 bucks a plate and I am going to enjoy every dam bite. Now that's Sunday supper at the Brandt Ranch.:;:thumbsupWhats on your table tonight?

Probably a little sweet and spicy Italian sausage chopped up into a lasagna with a fresh cucumber salad on the side.

If we don't get hailed out this could be a super year for gardens. Lots of tomatoes already on the plants.

I 'qued 2 pork shoulders, baked some acorn squarsh, braised cabbage in beer with bacon, onions, garlic. We ate most of one shoulder and the other will get smothered in green chilie tomorrow for Tuesday's supper. Washed it down with some ice tea and had a couple dark n stormy's afterwards. Fireworks, blueberry and cherry pies then finish off with a couple fingers Crown before bed.

My thanks to our Kick Ass founding fathers, pioneers and soldiers who made this weekend possible.

What a drag warm ale at the local pub must be without hunting, guns, boats and Juanr's avatar.

Love this time of year! Had fresh walleye, garden salad, fried potatoes, fresh bread, and pickled some kohlerabi and radishes today. Now having a drink watching the storm. I am glad this guy is not in a camper right meow.

Was on brown springs beach when the front moved through, waves like the ocean blew up with a fury.
Took 7 guys to help push my beached boat off shore.

No garden anymore, but put 4 Habenero plants in the flower garden for my world famous salsa

Qued up a slab of ribs with homemade dry rub, garden potatoes with onions and green beans all on the grill, washed down with ice cold beer. Sat in misery for about 5minutes till food could settle and I could move again, it was worth it.
