Getting the "SNIP"

I am amazed at the amount of "men" that have been persuaded into having this done.

How many of you guys ask permission to go out fishing, hunting, hanging with the guys? Do you need a hand written note too?

Its like having to vacuum your wifes car out after she drops a bag of chips in it, cause she might get dust in her crouch, so it is just easier for you to do it, and then thank her when your done... haha

I have never heard of a man getting prego.

Maybe when the time comes and I can no longer control my bladder mrs johnr can carry the piss bag for me, cause its easier for her to carry...haha. and less complicated.

Quit being a tool and questioning how "manly" others are. It is FAR safer and cheaper for men to have it done. For women its very invasive and the possibility of complications are much higher. I'd feel mighty shitty if i made my wife get it done and heaven forbid something happened. When i could go in for a simple walk in, walk out procedure.

It is indeed an unpleasant experience, but then again...so would having a full-time newborn around at this point in life.

Me having a difference of opinion, and being a bit jokey might make me "insensitive" but a tool?

mrs johnr and I have 4 children, she is a woman who has an excellent career, makes a hell of a good living, (brings home the bacon and fry it up in a pan) but was responsible enough to get her tubes tied, maybe she is a tool too.

BTW, the reason I went this route is I have seen gentlemen that have divorced or lost their wife(if their wife had her tubes tied) that go on to date or remarry only to have an "oops" at around 50 years old(give or take). I don't really want to send my child off to college at 70 if I had the choice.

I agree, we in my household made the decision that she would have the process done. I am just adding some spice to the topic, cause I can. I sure don't think any less of you geldings out there, just like Enslow said, its not for me, so my wife took care of it.

Welcome to the club....Got mine done about 7 years ago. Best advice is to rest and ice up afterwards. It doesn't hurt but too bad but you will feel that pressure after you got hit in the balls for a day or 2. I was coaching T-ball when I got mine done...kid couldn't hit the ball....I told him to swing as hard as you can and run. Well he hit the ball and let go of the bat which flew square in the fam jewels.....2 days after the procedure...yep sucked big time!

My former neighbor had it done several years ago after being done with having kids. His experience was terrible from what he shared. I think he was unable to work for a couple months as they swelled up to about the size of an orange.

Did this about 8 years ago with no complications. Like everyone else said, just take it easy for 2 to 3 days and do no heavy lifting. I had it done on a Tuesday and was reffing a high school football game on Friday night. Make sure to wear a pair of under armor or nike type compression shorts to the appointment. Keeping everything lockup up tight afterwards is important! The only part I didn't like was going back 2 weeks later for the follow up to make sure you were shooting blanks. Unfortunately, I had to do that trip twice because they spotted one in the first sample. After the second time the nurse called me and said "you are good to go"!! Ha ha.

Seriously, I would rather go thru this again then get a tooth pulled.
