Anyone out there use or heard anyone using the Ghost blind? I think it would work rather well for where I hunt and I like that it appears easier to set up compared to a traditional hunting blind. Thoughts????

Own a Ghost Blind, use it occasionally. It's pretty nice for run and gun hunting. I take the bag off my pack frame and strap the blind to the pack with a chair. Not too heavy, but holy eff will it toss you around in a stiff breeze. Like having a big sail strapped to your back.

As for efficacy, I've been within 10 yards of plenty of deer and turkeys without getting busted. But that's remaining ABSOLUTELY still. I bought the extenders for all 4 panels, which helps a lot for drawing a bow.

But here's my bottom line review: Awesome concealment. Lighter on the back than a Double Bull. Works scary well in standing corn. Sucks in the wind. Can't leave it out for the season like a hub blind (it's constructed of corrugated plastic).

I bought one last year and used it maybe a dozen times. If you are the kind of hunter that likes to be mobile I think you'll like the ghost blind. I didn't shoot a deer out from my blind, but I had plenty of chances. I even used it after there was snow on the ground and it worked awesome. If you decide to try one, buy one with the height extensions on it. It for sure helps if you are drawing back with a bow and they are easy to take off if you don't need them.

My main use for the blind would be taking the kids out hunting and bow hunting from. BUT I think it has to be my last year with the bow. Unfortunately my shoulders are not very good anymore and pulling my bow back for the last 5 years has been horrible. I have wounded more animals in the last 3 years then I have in the last 20. So its time for me to transition to a crossbow if I want to continue to bow hunt.....although I feel like crossbow hunting is not bow hunting! I think the ghost blind would be a perfect blind to hunt out of with a crossbow. It allows easy move ability, good cover and doesnt seem to heavy.

NOT a kids blind in my opinion. Kids fidget and move too much. Comfort and Enjoyment are the name of the game for kids and new hunters I think which is tailor made for a traditional pop up blind. They can move a little, play games, or whatever while they wait for the game to show up. If they have a good time, hopefully they will want to continue hunting. That said, the Ghost Blind does work and work well in certain situations like has been mentioned and I'll second the standing corn use. I hunted out of one once and my only issue was I couldn't sit on a folding chair very well and stay hidden. I wish it was a bit taller with shooting notches and maybe they have them now. I haven't looked at them for a few years. Good Luck!!!

I used one last year and shot my buck using it. I’ve had many deer within 15 yards it is very easy to get seen if you can’t stay still.

I haven't used the Ghost Blind, but several occasions with the Shadow Shield-similar mirror concept. This idea of reflecting your surroundings via a mirror is solid. They definately have their place as an effective blind.
