I'm confused about how the atf can categorize these guns as unlawful, as far as ghost guns are concerned the scotus has already said that ghost guns are protected by the 2nd amendments. So what am I missing here other then that the gun was used in an incident that would be grounds for a quick conviction of terroristic threat.

If a person was to steal a gun it would be a felony but if buying a black market gun is easy to come across what are we fighting its a hard market to combat

A ghost gun is simply a gun made from parts, any gun could be a ghost gun if you assemble it from separate parts. Not sure why the need for all these labels. I suppose it adds to the "scary" factor to say "ghost gun" now.

Was it an actual " machine gun " or was it a bump stock ?

We should know sometime this summer on the Supreme courts opinion of the legality of bumpstocks
