Has anyone used or felt a Greyboe rifle stock? I won a Ruger American 7prc and I really do not like the stock. I found that Greyboe sells a mini chassis that fits a few of their stocks so it would be upgradeable at a later time if I decide to go a different route. I am looking at their flagstaff stock.https://www.grayboe.com/products/grayboe-flagstaff-rifle-stock

I have an phoenix or phoenix 2 on a customer 300wsm. Really like the stock. But it is on the heavier side.

But the stock is very rigid and I have not had any issues with it on the 2 diffrent rifles it has been

I have been looking at their mini chasis stuff for a 6 creed im currently assembling just haven't decided which route I want to go for a stock

I have heard they are heavier, but from what I see, not any heavier than any other chassis systems. The Ruger stock is just so cheap feeling.

My buddy got one for his Tikka and replaced the Stocky's he had. He really likes it not sure which model he got but can let you know when I hear back. I have not handled the Greyboe yet so no first hand just him and a couple others I've met through him that have tried various aftermarket and have all been happy with Greyboe.
I was going to try one but they don't inlet for any of the guns I have wanted to do it on.

Edit: He has the Phoenix

I opted for the Flagstaff and placed an order after talking to them. It weights 2.5 lbs and should improve the feel of the rifle. If I wanted a heavier rifle for sitting in a blind or for trying PRS at some point, I will look at the Core stock and be able to swap easily. I’ll report back when I get it in a few weeks.

Please post a pic when you get done. Ruger Americans are butt ugly (sorry). I've shot a .308. It shot within a "penny" or better @100 with various factory loads. My "issues" are the "turd" stocks and shrouded bolt. It makes them "look" "cheap" like cigarettes and tats.

That is all.

Will do. Yes it is ugly as sin! The bolt feels like garbage. I have yet to shoot it. I'll let you know next week and will post pictures.

Received the stock today. First impressions is that it is lighter than expected and feels solid in comparison to the Ruger stock. The fit feels good. I do not care for the color of it compared to the picture, but whatever. Color does not really make a difference to me. I will get it mounted up and take some pictures this weekend.

It looks better now that it is installed. I ordered the alpine camo. The new stock added 2oz total weight after adding a pic rail, so weight difference is not noticeable. The feel of the rifle is much improved. The rifle will be shot suppressed so it will be slightly front heavy, but that is to be expected.View attachment IMG_0673.jpegView attachment IMG_0671.jpeg

That's a vast improvement over the original. I especially like the wrist and forend tip. The whole deal looks more trim and "quicker": Even as I revere Col. Cooper; his "Scout Rifle" concept is slightly awkward and looks like a turd. He wasn't a "shotgunner".

That gun doesn't look like a cheap railroad tie anymore. I'd even say the shrouded bolt looks "Scandinavian" (Krag). :) I'm damn sure the action/bbl is a "shooter". I hope the stock/can improves upon "my experiences".

I hope you keep us updated.

That is all.
