Evil gremlins be gone…

This bell rode with the Mongols back in the 60’s. It was given to be by a friend whose dad was with them. His dad hand made them and it’s one of 6 he has left.

He gave it to me today! I couldn’t be more honored! Although his old man is probably rolling in his grave knowing it’s currently on a jap bike! 🤣

I don’t believe in NOT giving something back for something like this. It’s kinda an unwritten rule.

My question is this. What the hell do I give him back? I want it to be something that means something. He totally doesn’t expect anything back, at all!

Help?

Something you earned/made with your own sweat and blood that you feel is of equal effort and an example of you. For me it might be one of my Captains bars when I was commissioned as an officer in the Navy as it took me 12 years to earn my PhD to get commissioned. Something like that.

A few yrs ago my Brother in-law threw his old hockey skates away when we were at the lake. Now him and his family allow use to use the lake homes when ever we want. So to show how much we appreciate what they do. I took his skate blades and had Uncle Jed the blade Smith from Valley City. Make him some knives. I think he did a great job with them.

Just something to think about.
