The passenger should have jumped in and helped push unless he was disabled or something. He stood there like a boat anchor telling the captain "I don't think you can do it" .

Not sure how this works, but if the electronics were covered under the policy, then they should be part of the boat? If the insurance was just for boat, motor and trailer then he should be allowed to take that stuff off. Not defending the ins company (most are pretty scummy) but just asking a question.
