Well saw this sign down in apple creek bottoms. Willing to bet it's a bluff unless they are running trail cams since they would have had to run in a power source to run security cameras. Either way it's not a bad idea to help keep the stupidity to a minimum down there.

Interestingly, the odd day of no camping was, I believe, a solution to the oilfield squatters on the WMAs out in the western part of the state. Didn't know they implemented it in the Bismarck area as well.

While I can't say for sure, it also seemed like a number of people would leave their campers in the same prime spots at the desert area. Those are all first come first serve. Numerous times have seen them sit with no activity or trucks in sight. Just always figured someone was trying to claim the spot for the weekends.

There were a number of guys from down south that were there most of the summer so I'm guessing that's what triggered it. One guy who worked for Lincoln oaks with a blue wood topper was there pretty much from two weeks before the fire till after freeze up. With the game and fish choking that area off in all their great wisdom means that it left next to no room to camp unless you were set up to hike in or didn't mind setting up so close to the next group you could talk to them without raising your voice.
