I have two boats , Both have sonar but only one has GPS . Can I power up my hummingbird without the transducer just for marking and finding spots in my other boat ? Thanks in advance.

I have ran my Humminbird 788ci without the transducer connected. I used it just for GPS when icefishing. I think you might get an message saying "no transducer" but you can go into the settings and turn sonar off. Will eliminate this message from then on.

Thank you gone fishing , I had a feeling it should work that way but I just wanted to make double sure.

Should be able to just turn the ducer off. I do it with my elite 5 while traveling ice fishing
