Never seen a sign like that before.

I use 91 in all of my stuff(lawn mowers, trimmers, chain saw, motor cycles, boat, side by side) but never in my 2 gas vehicles, they get whatever is the cheapest, as I will not keep them for 10 years or more like I will my small engine stuff.

I'll take a pic on my way home if I remember. It's been there for years. Super faded.

I really really HATE politicians

Makes a guy wonder if a politician got elected and did absolutely nothing it would be better. Better yet for everything new they pass, they have to delete two of previous related laws passed.

There are a lot of places in Bis /Man with ethanol free 91 octane yet but one does need to watch because there are 91 premium pumps with ethanol too not all 91 premium is ethanol free.

I used to run nothing but 89 ethanol up until about 3 years ago pretty much everything I owned for small engine all developed issues within a couple years and even had a brand new generator filled with it and within 2 months had gas running out the carb, that when I went in for warranty and got laughed out the door with a new 70 dollar carb. No small engine mfg will warranty any fuel rel;ated item anymore due to ethanol. I hit up several small engine shops out of anger and got the same story from every one of them. 91 ethanol free only time and again so that's when I made the switch and have to say I wish I did it sooner as my small engines have never ran or started so good since the switch.

I was told that it is common for a lot of municipalities to actually mix a quart of avgas to every gallon of gas for basically indefinite shelf life in equipment that only gets used every few years and they have good luck doing that. Avgas has to meet even stricter regulations in relation to not absorbing moisture and longer life.

If you have a smaller carbureted engine, you should start it, run it until it dies, and then bleed the carbs.

Never heard of that before, but with my recent carb problems, I'm wondering if I should do the same thing. Would be easy to accomplish while the boat is still at the lake, too (granted nobody is waiting to use the landing.)

Thoughts??

If you still have the carb engines, I'd suggest spitting in some fogger fluid into the nipple at the outboard in lieu of running the motor dry and draining the carb. That's something you DON'T do for EFI motors; no need wrecking the fuel injectors. I repetitively use Sea Foam all of my motors, small and large, and would never consider Sta-Bill ever again.

I still have a can of the fogger spray from my older motors from a past boat. If anyone wants the can they surely can have it!
