Just wondering if any of you guys have any experience with a pulltype three point snow blower?? I have a 100 horse "food plot toy/tractor" and was looking at an erskine 825rp. The driveway is about 3/4 of a mile long and was thinking it'd be really nice not to have to go backwards the whole way. Thoughts?? Experience?? Thanks guys!

They are junk if you have any deep snow or hard drifts to go through, but if it's just blanket snow or pillow drifts its nice driving forward and not have to look backwards.

Agreed junk.
Had a neighbor who had one and when it came to deep or hard snow he couldn't get through it. He couldn't get rid of it fast enough and bought a front mount one for his tractor. Now that was the cats ass!

You just need a Bi-directional toy tractor.

I used one for years and there was probably once or twice where I had to back in and drive out a few times to chew up a big drift. The advantage is the are cheap and you don't have to take your loader off (which also got used if the drifts were too big). 99% of the time it was just drive through the snow and blow it away. If you can drive through it, you are good to go. Definite NOT junk for me.

Same here , Used one for many years . Worked good for cleaning up the ridges when pushing snow with the loader too.

My Oldman has an old Erskine that is a pull-type and mounts on a 3-point. It does a good job. He runs it with a 966. The only limitation is, that you have to do more shoveling than with a reverse-type snow blower.
I'm not at home anymore so Dad has to shovel. He bought a snowblower that mounts to the Bobcat so he doesn't have to shovel. That thing is slick, but is slower than the Erskine on the 966. So he still uses the Erskine on the 966 to blow a majority of the yard.
