I have a 30 ish year old pse pulsar that has a 30% let off with a 60 lb draw weight. I shot plenty of deer with old aluminum 2216 arrows and bear broad heads going about half the speed of smell per second. If you think you need the fastest, newest, most tricked out bow on the market to use on deer. Pay for it. If you just want to enjoy chasing fur covered num nums you sure don't need to break the bank to do it. If guys weren't paying those ridiculous prices, the bow companies wouldn't charge so much. I guess lots of hunters have more pennies than me. Oh well. I'll get over it.

Gave my PSE Sonic away 15 years ago when I quit bowhunting. It is still being passed down to this day. I believe I bought it in 1987 or 8. Was just a plain jane like this one. Peep sight and rubber string silencers. Shot many a deer with it. Man the good ol days!!!!!

Surprised they think they can win. Folks are still buying them even with the stupid prices. Service is still the biggest thing. Going in, getting fitted up, help with tuning, etc are all huge parts of the archery sale process that can’t be provided via online retailers. Seems there is some protectionism there that is shorting those who sell archery equipment right with good service.

I saw a new bow on the rack the other day that was $2,050 for the bare bow with nothing on it!😳
If you watch the classifieds you can usually buy a top of the line used complete setup for a price where your basically getting the bow for free!
My son just bought a carbon hoyt fully loaded, arrows, case, release, sight and rest that was a couple years old but brand new never been shot. After he sold his almost 15 year old bow he was into this new carbon rig for $300 bucks!😊👍👍

I have a PSE likely from 1990 not sure on model but at the time was quite spendy. My son wanted in so we purchased him a $700 set up, not sure what brand, and I had mine restrung, as we were going to bow hunt. I have not gone in probably 20 years. Just does nothing for me. He never asked me to go, and ventured out with either himself or some buddies.

Not sure why I hang onto it, I will never go again. Didn't even lob one out there after having it restrung. Cant even get enough interest in it to get myself to do that.
Rifle hunting is almost to that same level now. Is it low T?
