I forgot to check last night. One thing that stands out to me is how much more the camera picks up than the naked eye. At least my eyes anyway. I took some photos a while back and I didn't think they were that impressive but when I checked the camera, they picked it up much better.

No doubt, most of our events are 3-4 on the KP index. And with those it takes a camera with a couple second exposure. But when the storms get in that 6-7 range its pretty easy to see them with the naked eye. Trips to Tobin and the Yukon bring back great memories of events like that! But we did have an event in the 7s like a year ago, they were overhead and even to the dead south, pretty amazing! When I get home I will work on last nights event and post it up, if my settings are right it should be pretty darn awesome! I went to pull the camera at 430 am and they were still firing off with the naked eye so I just left it and went to work. Put it next to the creek so should get some cool reflections I'm hoping!

Do you still go up to Tobin? I use to go up every fall for about 10 years but seemed like the fishing got slower and not as many big ones so havent been back up there in 6 years. Every fall when the leave start changing i get the itch to head back north again. And to your original point, some of the best N light shows of my life have been up there.

Haven't been up in a while either for the same reasons. That and now I look forward to these oct lake trout trips up past there! But on a side note I have a buddy up there right now prefishing all week for the vanity cup tourney and they have been knocking the snot out of the trophy size fish! I'm thinking livescope is having allot to do with that. I hope his luck continues, I believe it's still a 100k in prizes tourney!
I think I need to start heading back up there with my sons just to see the colors again!

We use to go up to Tobin usually a couple weeks after the big Tourney. Talk to locals and they said lots of big fish caught at the time. Been a good 10yrs for us also, do miss it as it was a great time. 3 of us always went up.

The auroras came in spurts last night.😊

If you get some really good/brilliant colors some night that allow for a longer vid:

Metallica, Ride the Lightning.

Cool! Fort Vermillion area? Long ways up there, was in that area a couple years ago.
