So I stopped at Scheels Wednesday to pick up a new puck for my Lowrance locator that I have for my main (while your driving) locator. The old one no longer would give me GPS readings.
Well the puck was $200, and they had the HDS7 for $599, as they have upgraded that model and they were blowing out this last years model for $300 off.
Anyway I bought it and am wondering how much different this will be than the 527c model I am replacing it with, I don't want to spend my time learning a bunch of stuff if I can slide on by.
I did not purchase the structure scan at this point in time, as it is almost the end of the season for me, and I wasn't really looking to spend the extra $$$ right now.
Do I need to learn a new system or is the new Lowrance set up to use just like my 2008 lowrance?
In the store it seemed the same, but was hoping the transducer cable, and the power cable off of the old one could stay, and I can just plug in and go
