There used to be a crow that would sit in a tree by the parking lot at McDonalds in Jamestown. If you came out with food he would make a real soft muted call, like he was begging. Toss a few fries on the pavement and he would land almost at your feet to get them.

My old camping buddies were the Crows, my youngest 2 still hang with the kids quite a bit.

Great family.

Was in a cafe on the water front in Seattle Washington. They left the front doors open. Wife and I ordered fish and chips and the chips were french fries. We were eating away when I felt a tapping on my shoe. I looked down and it was a seagull. Waiter was walking by and said if I gave the seagull a fry he would go away. S i did and the gull walked out the front door and flew away. I guess this bird did it a lot. Mouch. LB

For some reason we hardly ever see a crow around the yard but we have Magpies that are pretty tame and fun to watch. They love teasing other birds and animals. Our cat hates them because they land and follow him around the yard and squawk and try to sneak in and peck his tail. They are smarter and quicker than the cat so he just strolls around pretending like they aren't there.

@ Riverview , Bucks Sport Shop in Rugby had what they called a minor bird that would talk a lot. They said they slit the tongue so they can talk.

Video of magpie tormenting a fox. I thought cats were quick but I've saw the magpie peck his tail a few times but have never saw the cat even try to catch it.
