Anyone here try this stuff? I;'m told to throw out my sea foam and run this stuff along with non oxy fuel in my small engines and chain saws.

• Marvel Mystery Oil® lubricates the entire fuel system-fuel pumps, fuel injectors or carburetors and the top portion of the cylinders. These are areas, that by design, motor oil does not reach. Using Marvel Mystery Oil in your fuel extends the life of these vital components by providing them with lubrication that fuel alone does not provide.
• Marvel reduces and prevents varnish and gum build-up, two key contributors to robbing engine performance. When you shut off your engine, a miniscule drop of fuel is left at the tip of the fuel injectors or carburetor jets. This miniscule drop off of fuel then solidifies into a varnish type residue. Over time, the accumulated varnish blocks the openings of the injectors or jets, contributing to lower performance and fuel economy and shorter life of these components.
• Spark plug life is also extended by using Marvel in your fuel. It creates a cleaner burning cylinder environment that reduces carbon build-up on spark plugs resulting in better firing plugs that increase performance and durability.
• In addition, Marvel Mystery Oil® improves fuel mileage by reducing internal friction in the engine.
• Marvel should be used in the fuel at every fill-up. Use 4 ounces for every 10 gallons of fuel.
Note for Diesel Fuel Users - This diesel fuel additive does not comply with federal low sulfur content requirements for use in model 2007 and newer diesel motor vehicles.

I have used stabile forever, never had any issues with my small engines. Might be coincidence, or not. Guess I am going to stick with it at this point.

Where is svnmag at, this mystery oil stuff, and lubes in general are his expertise.

I've used it in a few things over the last few years including small engines. Not sure how it is as a stabilizer but seems to help lube and clean things up

If you run Non ethanol 90+ octane premium you would have no need for any stabilizer as that gas is mandated by law to have a 1 year minimum shelf life.

Regular non ethanol is mandated to have 60 day shelf life and anything with ethanol in it starts to degrade after around 30 days.

Best fuel stabilizer is to mix av gas with your premium about 4 to 1 ratio and it will last indefinately, many municipalities do this for a lot of equipment that sits for long periods of non use and have excellent luck with it. Avgas as you would imagine has to be stabile.

I've used MMO in many things. Most crap on the drilling rig. Works great for various things but it would be a hell of a hard sell to get me to put it in gas and run through an engine.

You would be hard pressed to find any old timey mechanic with out a big jug of MMO in the shop. Used to run it thru an old Lycoming before annual and would always boost compression. Guy gave me an old Ford with a 300 six in it that had not been run in awhile. Showed low compression. MMO in the spark plug holes. Let set a day or two and, viola! Compression!

yep - I'm no motor head but have had it since the 70s

lots of folks would pour it into spark plug holes a few days prior to starting a long abandoned motor

I've been using it my whole life. I would put a half quart in with my engine oil when I changed oil on my pickup and I know a few other people that would do the same. I put over 300,000 miles on that engine when I was in highschool (easy miles) and a few years after that never had a problem with it. I also run it in the gas of all my small engines along with seafoam

Yup. Grandpa has a '37 Nash that I wanted to rebuild in my younger years. Never got around to it but I remember a guy I worked with suggested I dump MMO in the plug holes. He told me it's basically just diesel. I also use it in air tools, put a drop in the line before attaching a staple gun.

Odd,I had no idea this stuff has been around for so long,never herd of this stuff before,but I'll stick to seas foam and non=oxy fuel as it seems to work just fine,knock on wood.

but that compression only lasted a short time. Would have gotten the same result with just about any oil based product. In an airplane your not doing yourself any favors masking the true compression lol

I add about 10 ounces to my duramax every time I fuel up. The low sulfur fuel is hard on a diesel because of lubricity. MMO adds that lubricity and helps extend engine life. Jury is out on what it does to the high psi enjectors though. I guess I'll find out.

Skeeter,but on these new diesels we have DEF fluid,hate the stuff! backyard tech tells me they have a down load to the onboard ECM to by pass the def fluid sensor.

Mine is an 2007.5 so no def. I did do an egr delete,dpf delete, and 4 inch straight pipe from the turbo back. Efi live turner really wakes that LMM up.

Nope. Ford six banger still running strong. Rings were stuck in their groves. MMO freed them up. As far as the plane goes, another year before moh was worth it. Gotta die sometime. I do understand what you are saying, however.

A little spray of Fluid Film in the plug holes works like magic, anyone else use Fluid Film for everything that moves?

911 is the devil!!!! It will eat injectors like a fat kid at a cupcake eating contest. Many many moons ago when I got my first diesel, I learned the horrors of gelling up because I was dumb. Now I run 75/25 with MMO or straight one with MMO if it's real cold. The added cost of the fuel is small compared to being gelled up on the side of the road.
