Did some research on ice ages and it sounds like man made climate change will ensure we do not see another ice age! Too me that sounds like a good thing! But then I read into how sun and volcano activity could alter everything again no matter what we about our own emissions. This is all out of our hands and not worth fretting about is what I settled on. We will all be able to survive in a warm climate but an ice age could kill most of us.....

Toss "precession" into your next search for climate change. That also provides a lot of interesting stuff to read.

I think its fairly naïve to think we arent or havent had some impact. How much so is very much up for debate, and i dont think its doom and gloom.
You are wrong, its cow farts, and we are all going to burn up from it, or maybe we will freeze, either way we are fucked because of Americans and their selfishness and love of fishing boats.

Yeah the little I read makes me wonder how we can take human emissions and conclude that is the sole reason for climate change. These other forces are so much bigger and out of our control so why are we losing sleep on all of this. Isn’t there also an issue in how the tested for carbon back in the day compared to now?

Rural Americans that use their big trucks to pull their boats are the problem. Not the rich people with all of their fancy yachts, private planes and multiple houses.......

Guy would probably know better on the current state of measurement of CO2 in the atmosphere, but I'd hazard a guess direct measurement of CO2 in the atmosphere doesn't go back 100 years. Instead what scientists have done is used trapped gasses and radioisotopes in the big ice sheets of Greenland and Antarctica to measure/infer CO2 rates for the past few million years.

Great illustrations. And somehow the author managed to avoid blaming climate change on today’s popular scapegoats for climate change... people who work and pay taxes. Clearly someone at this government agency missed the memo.

Also - I’ve always been a bit skeptical about analyzing ice core bubbles for their content and subsequent interpretation.

What process formed those bubbles, contributed to their makeup? Are those bubbles actually representative of the atmosphere that day/age? Was the analysis properly conducted? Was the data analyst free of bias? Yadda yadda.

I deal w analysis a lot and it’s really really difficult to get to “the truth”.

You dont need any truth, Algore is all the truth you need.

Because of your science brain its hard, but just sit back relax, and let the polar ice bubbles lead you to excepting our green new deal.

In all seriousness the theory is not concrete, nor is the little USA going to have an impact when China, india, and the like do nothing. Plant a tree and crank up the idle on the 2 stroke

You aren't smart enough to invent the internet or carbon credits. May you melt in acid rain;-)

I have come to the conclusion that Mother Nature resets everything every few million years. If she dont we are going to screw our self out of a place at the dinner table. I trust in my faith Amen. LB
