Trapper, was that live or dressed wieght?

A buddy took this one at my camp 3 years ago.
We're both pissed as we didn't have time to get a weight ( was warm out) and we needed to get it but cheered up.
Is the biggest I've put my hands on.
Guessing it dressed around 600. osky 2_zpstrc7hxl8.jpg

I'm in that boat with you, both her and my son have bigger bear than I do, but it was more fun watching them get bear than it is for me to shoot one!

Well trapper alot of us perfer not hunting bear over bait,in wisc most bear hunters use dogs like lion hunts,I've tagged along black bear hunts in alaska with friends hunting low tide blacks from boats, not much hunting rather just shooting spring bears for rugs,so not a fan myself but kudo's to folks like you and family, congrats, lot to be said for quality time with family both in blind and camp.i sat with a bow hunter over a bait pile one year filming, bear he arrowed, ran off could here it crying like a baby before it expired, turn me off to the hunt at that point. It amazes me how stealthy these critters are for they're size, grizz the same.
