Missouri flooding

So with all the water South of us are the big lakes Oahe and sak going to keep more water than usual this winter. Would not hurt my feelings having full lakes come spring.

Doubt it. They run them super slow to begin with during the winter so the reduction would be small. They may slow Sak right now anyway since the river froze up yesterday in Bismarck and she is doing the standard few feet rise as a result. Over all until a couple days from now oahe is only running at 11 anyway so that more then covers for the flood.

They can't they have the river to low already and they are mandated to keep municipal water intakes in the water. In most down stream floods they back them down to 10,000 to 15,000 cfs but since they are already there there's not allot they can do. They may hold back the upcoming ramp up of oahe from 11,000 to 24,000 cfs for a few days buts that's about probably it. At normal speed it would take around two weeks for the water to flow from gavis point to the confluence so the flood will likely be well over before the water gets there. That said I would love to see them do it but its the corp so needless to say I have zero hope for them to do it.
