Missouri River Bismarck area

Well, I took a drive yesterday (3/20) all the way south of Mandan to Eckroth's. Ice had blown into shore, two guys trying to fish, went to Granner's (Sugar Loaf) and there were several shore fishing and 4 boat trailers in the parking lot. Schmidt Bottoms (rifle range) one person shore fishing no boat trailers and over across on Bismarck side I seen several boats in the desert area. Then I made my way to Fox Island ramp which had 30 plus boat trailers in it and today I counted over 40. So with that many out fishing how about some pics or reports on what's going on out there. I plan on getting out myself when I can get to my boat! So much mud in my alley that I would make a mess of the road so I'll wait for a bit yet. Good luck to all and Lets hear some reports!

Was out in town thurs & fri...fairly slow but a handful being caught. Water temp around 40. They're going to need to expand fox's parking area or something with Merriwether's shut down now. A couple years the city is going to be saying we need another boat ramp...

I've said before. They built the new one in mandan to replace the one at merriwethers. Or at least that is what will be said when suggestions come to build another one

It would help some if people without trailers wouldn't park in the spots that are best for parking trailers. City needs to get signage down there.

The fishing was good this weekend. The son and I went south of Bismarck on Saturday and I did well. He could only catch catfish, but I caught one of them and a limit of 18-22" walleye. Small natural jettys worked for us. Had another friend say they did really well on Friday evening.
